From time to time accidents involving emergency vehicles will happen. Thankfully these are not very common. Advances in vehicle safety over the years have helped reduce accidents and injuries. More often than not the drivers pride is hurt more than anything and will result in a bit of banter between crews. This unfortunate incident occurred in Norfolk on 25 March 1980 on Methwold's ground and was less than a year old at the time.
